Abstract

Electronic discovery is the process of producing Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in the context of a legal process. ESI includes emails, files, social media, and website content among others. The different types of sources that generate data have been rapidly increasing. Therefore, it is highly important to manage the discovery process accurately to avoid negative legal and financial repercussions. However, most companies in Puerto Rico do not have a solution or understand the consequences of lacking a robust e-discovery solution, mainly due to the lack of available information and resources on the subject. To mitigate this existing problem, the eDiscoverypr webpage was created. The primary purpose is to educate viewers and provide them with valuable data on the subject. Key Terms ― Blog, e-Discovery, ESI, Repository.
