Abstract

This project will demonstrate the damages that can occur by different web application attacks to aid users with the knowledge of disasters and let them know why security is so important. If you don't know what the problem is, you will never know the risks and neither how to solve it. In addition, defenses on every attack will also be discussed. Furthermore, the project implements the hacking techniques on a safe and legal framework designed for testing web application securities. The attacks regarding this project will be the following: cross site scripting (known as XSS), and SQL injection (SQLi). Key Terms - DVWA, HTML, OWASP, SQLi, XSS.
