Abstract

Description of a test bench that simulates the operation of the protection system of a transmission center. The test bench developed integrates several electromagnetic devices, known as relays, that work together to protect against faults the different components of an electric system. The test bench will be coupled to the rest of the equipment in the laboratory of protection systems. All of the equipment built for this purpose makes up a versatile tool for teaching engineering students the operation of a real protection system and will be donated to the Polithecnic University of Puerto Rico.
