Abstract

In this article the reader will find a historic account of the scientific discoveries that provided the foundations of electrical engineering as a profession. The article also presents a list of names of those scientists who, in the judgment of the author, contributed the most to the development of the said profession with their genius and persistence. The author also lists some scientific breakthroughs that may occur in the near future after extrapolating the scientific results obtained during the past centuries.
