Abstract

Emulator of a trainer for the Intel microprocessor 8080 and 8085 for the programmable calculator HP-48SX and HP-48GX This article presents the development of a program to emulate the Intel 8080 and 8085 microprocessors. The program was designed to run on the HP-48SX and the HP-48GX programable calculators. The basic course of microprocessors at the Politechnic University of Puerto Rico is based on these microprocessors, but there are no trainers available. For this reason the course is completely theoretical. The use of this emulator as a complementary tool will allow the students to better assimilate the theory presentented in the classroom to enrich their knowledge of microprocessors.
