Abstract
In this research, the Define, Measure,
Analyze, Improve and Control methodology was
used to identify and mitigate the common reasons
of invalid or unacceptable Silver Stained
Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis assays
performed in Quality Control Laboratories. The
research was focused in the prevention of
contaminant bands seen on the gels after staining.
It also measured the economic impact to the
Quality Control Laboratories operations.
