Abstract

Fault simulation in power systems using symetric components and the computer program PSPICE This article shows how to use the computer program PSPICE to analyze faults in power systems by the symmetrical components method. The paper covers only the rules, instructions and limitations of PSPICE necessary for both symmetrical and unsymmetrical fault simulations. Figures help the reader to understand how the positive, negative and zero components sequence are interconnected in a double line to ground fault.
