Item Sistema de Manejo de Errores Humanos para la Industria Farmacéutica(Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, 2023) Barbosa Toro, Juan Gabriel; Torres Batista, Nelliud D.La industria farmacéutica es un ambiente altamente regulado. Agencias como la Administración de Alimentos y Medicamentos se encarga de velar porque se cumplen las buenas prácticas de manufacturas, pues es requerido que los productos manufacturados cumplen con los mayores estándares de calidad. Es por esto por lo que las manufactureras redactan procedimientos específicos de como los procesos se deben manejar. Uno de ellos siendo cuando ocurre una desviación. Existen muchas raíces causas por las que las desviaciones ocurren, pero la causa asignable más común es por error humano. Los errores humanos se deben documentar pues puede ser el síntoma de algo más profundo. También es importante la documentación de estos, pues debemos velar porque los empleados no establezcan una tendencia de errores humanos. Los empleados que caigan en tendencia deben ser supervisados más cuidadosamente y algún plan debe ser implementado para prevenir futuras desviaciones. It gives the public a general idea of how the match will occur, providing a powerful tool in analytics. This project intends to extract raw tennis match data from verified sources and apply mathematical equations to predict the probability of the outcome of a particular match. Firstly, with the help of the programming language Python and a popular technique known as web scraping, the data can be extracted from a verified source, such as the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), and validated. After the data is extracted, in this project, three different algorithms will be applied, with the goal of predicting the outcome of a particular tennis match. These algorithms are known as linear regression (decision tree, ridge, and lasso) and are made with the programming language Python. There will be a section describing each equation in detail and how it works. Finally, the results will show which of the equations best predicted the outcome of the different matches and conclusions will be drawn based on the results of each equation. It will present a methodology that could be used for implementing a potential solution in the form of a game. This article focuses on the programming design aspect of building such a solution. It will also discuss a prototype built in Unity Engine and C# using the design mentioned in this paper. This paper briefly discusses other aspects crucial for this project’s completion, such as animation and presentation. Since only a prototype was built, it concludes the discussion on future works for this project to improve the game graphics and expand topics and the game capabilities aspects of the presented solution. The number of patients at Emergency Rooms (ER) have increased in every hospital around USA, including Puerto Rico. Employees are at risk by being in contact with possible virus carriers. ER Fast Check-In is an electronic self-register system consisting of a Windows PC with the ER Checking software integrated that business owners will be able to install on computers with touchscreens placed on the emergency room entrance. ER Fast Check-In purpose is to help reduce physical contact between some personnel and patients, increase their servicing speed and improve efficiency, while decreasing man-hours. Additionally, will help segregate possible COVID-19 virus carriers from the other ER patients. Another gain from adopting this technology is to capture records electronically and collecting data for future processes and statistical analysis. Key Terms ̶ Emergency Room, ER Check-In, ID, and Symptoms.Item Comprensión del Lenguaje Natural e Integración de Asistente Virtual para el manejo de cuentas y comercios(Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, 2020) Sierra Rivera, Wilfredo; Torres Batista, Nelliud D.En Puerto Rico, las compañías no han explorado la posibilidad de incorporar el uso de un Asistente Virtual para manejar transacciones comerciales. En búsqueda de facilitar la interacción de un usuario con una aplicación sin la necesidad del uso directo de un móvil o computadora, se creó una solución integrando un Asistente Virtual. Para esto se llevó a cabo una compresión del lenguaje natural y se utilizaron varias herramientas como Amazon Web Services, Alexa y NodeJS, entre otros. Dicha solución nos permite solicitarle al Asistente Virtual realizar pagos de servicios como agua, luz y telefonía, entre otros. Para ello, se integró una base de datos en MySQL para almacenar los datos de la aplicación web. También se añadió el framework Express para establecer la comunicación entre la web y la aplicación. Además, se utilizaron funciones Lambda para poder almacenar los datos de las transacciones en la base de datos del cloud y un API Gateway para la comunicación entre la aplicación web y el cloud. Este proyecto es una muestra pequeña de todo lo que se puede lograr integrando esta solución a otras aplicaciones. Companies around the world can agree that fast processing, predictive analysis, and realtime data can give strategic advantage. Business Intelligence (BI) is an approach of information gathering and analysis to give executives a better understanding based on data. BI can be applied using concepts from statistics, artificial intelligence, and data mining, among other, focusing on achieving to help companies in decision- and risktaking. Big Data is used to describe large sets of information that traditional systems, such as databases, cannot process and maintain reliably. These techniques make the processing of high volumes of data easier, which in turn may result in quick analysis. One of the benefits of integrating Big Data and Business Intelligence is the management of both structure and unstructured data from diverse and large collections. There has been an increase in the number of people with different disabilities, including older people, which constitute approximately 10 percent of the world’s population today. The categories of such disabilities include physical, cognitive, sensorial, emotional, developmental, mental, and/or a combination of them. Websites need to be modified to provide equal access and to ensure their access to information to the internet, as is their human basic right. This improvement to websites is known as Web Accessibility. Web accessibility allows users with disabilities to browse through a website using accessible components or assistive tools as needed. Every website should strive to address and provide accessibility for as many disabilities as possible. Easy is a project that will intent to guide the user to understand the behavior of a plant environment. By using electronics guided environment indoors the plant will have the basic things that it need to grow. It will also give the user the viability of the integration of programming and electronics tools, in other to be used in agriculture. This will intend to make people aware of their environment not only physically but on the digital area also. It will help people to learn how to integrate this tools in other to help them grow an indoor plant. The projects, also uses a JAVA software that reads and writes signals to the Arduino. With the use of the Arduino input signals that are read by the sensor changes and generates an output to activate behavior .This to simplify the user experience. This JAVA EASY application will tell the user if there are problems in any of the input data and record the data in a data sheet.
