dc.description.abstractUn incremento de competitividad por parte de otros destinos en el Caribe y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami en la década de los 1980’s ocasionó que el Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín quedara rezagado a uno de origen y destino. El aeropuerto no sirve función de hub con servicio directo a destinos internacionales. Posicionar el Aeropuerto Luis Muñoz Marín entre los principales puertos aéreos de trasbordo de pasajeros y mercancía a nivel mundial. A la vez, aprovechar la localización geográfica de la isla para que sirva de enlace entre África, las Américas y Europa.en_US
